Lesson from the Deft Frog

Here is one version of the story:
The story about the tiny frogs....

There once was a bunch of tiny frogs,...

.... who arranged a running competition.

The goal was to reach the top of a very high tower ..

A big crowd had gathered around the tower to see the race and cheer on the contestants...

The race began...

Honestly:

No one in crowd really believed that the tiny frogs would reach the top of the tower.
You heard statements such as:
"Oh, WAY too difficult!!
They will NEVER make it to the top."
or:
"Not a chance that they will succeed. The tower is too high!"

The tiny frogs began collapsing. One by one...

.... Except for those who in a fresh tempo were climbing higher and higher...

The crowd continued to yell

"It is too difficult!!! No one will make it!"

More tiny frogs got tired and gave up...

....But ONE continued higher and higher and higher...
This one wouldn't give up!

At the end everyone else had given up climbing the tower. Except for the one tiny frog who after a big effort was the only one who reached the top!

THEN all of the other tiny frogs naturally wanted to know how this one frog managed to do it?

A contestant asked the tiny frog how the one who succeeded had found the strength to reach the goal?

It turned out...

That the winner was DEAF!!!!

The wisdom of this story is:

Never listen to other people's tendencies to be

negative or pessimistic...
....cause they take your most wonderful dreams and wishes away from you.

Therefore:
ALWAYS be... POSITIVE!

Be DEAF when people tell YOU that YOU can not fulfill YOUR dreams!
Always think:
I can do this!

What should be your reason to succeed in life?

One afternoon, a group of fox saw a rabbit, then the fastest fox said to his group “ Look, do you see that rabbit? He will be my delicious dinner tonight!”
The group said, “Well, let’s see if you can catch the rabbit”.
So the fastest fox run and chase the rabbit…
Couple of hours passed and the fastest fox return to the group while grasping his breath.
The group of fox asked  him , “Where is the rabbit? You was not able to catch it?”
The fastest fox replied, “Well, you know…I ran to chase the rabbit so that I can have a delicious dinner, but the rabbit ran for his life!"  - retold by: Chris de Guzman

Insight:
For us to really succeed in life, we should have a deeper  reason in everything we decide to pursue. Like the rabbit, the fox was not able to catch him even though the fox run faster than him, because the rabbit has a deeper reason which is "he ran for his life!" while the fox only ran just to have a delicious dinner.

“Born to second-generation Chinese- Japanese-Filipino parents, Sia grew up in Roxas City in Capiz, a small town 280 miles south of Manila. His parents ran a grocery store where Sia worked on weekends as a cashier from the age of 10. He went to the University of St. Agustin in nearby Iloilo City to study architecture but dropped out one year short of graduating. "My mind was always somewhere else," he admits."

But broader ambitions of going beyond his provincial roots got him thinking again. Along came the offer to rent a corner in an upcoming food hall. "The overhead at the time was low so it wasn't that risky," he says".-Forbes.com  (read more here)

John Calub's secret of Success

12 TIPS HOW TO BE SUCCESSFUL

Here are some tips I collected that will help us to be successful in life:

1. Believe that you’ve got what it takes to be successful.
Belief is the mother of being. Believe that you have the power to turn your dreams into reality. Whatever you believe , you can achieve. Desire and want it with great passion and determination. Envision your dreams. See your goal in your mind’s eye; picture its every smallest detail. When you can define and imagine it clearly and believe wholeheartedly in it, you can make it happen!

2. Believe that you deserve to be successful.
Many people fail because they feel that they are not deserving of what they desire. Mark was completely smitten by jenny, his lovely officemate, but thought that he was not good enough and deserving of her. So he never got to first base. It was only when he started feeling that he deserved no lesser love than Jenny’s and acted more confidently that he was able to win her heart. You won’t get what you desire unless you believe you deserve it!

3. Think that you are already successful.
Success, first and foremost, is an attitude. Success starts in the mind. Your mental attitudes- the positive ones – are what push you become effective, productive and successful. Condition your mind to think that you are already successful. Then your brain will be engaged in successful thinking – a knockout mindset that can extinguish your failure consciousness. Think like a winner! You cannot be successful if you think like a loser.

4. Feel successful
What is the feeling of success? It is a euphoric mixture of pride, self-confidence, inner joy, fulfillment and happiness. People look up to you with respect and praise you for your accomplishments. You feel like the whole world is at your command; you are the center of the universe! Start feeling successful even if you are just on your way up. When you do, others will notice and will accord you the grand courtesies given to successful people. They will help make your climb to the top smooth and easy!

5. Act successful.
How you carry yourself plays a very important role in the game of success. Act successful and success will follow. Project success; shine with the magnetic aura of success. Keep an upright, confidence posture; move with commanding power gestures and movements. Put a spring in your walk and add brightness to your smile. And don’t forget each time you open your mouth to talk, speak like a person with immense success.

6.Dress successful.
Want to be successful really fast? Dress the part! Why is it that actors like
George Clooney play real convincing doctor roles? Because they don a medical
gown and put on all the accoutrements associated with doctors. They look

believable as medical experts – people even come up to them for consultations in private life! Dress successful. Look clean, crisp and prosperous. Accessorize with success props and carry them well. And most importantly, smell successful, too!

7. Choose successful friends.
Show me your friends and I’ll show you who you are. If you associate with naggers, you’ll be a naggers, you’ll be a nagger; if you go with bitter and resentful people, you’ll be bitter and negative. Individual traits are assimilated by a process called personality osmosis. What your friends and close associates are, you become. If you truly want to be successful, choose to be with successful people. Their positive traits and mental attitudes will rub off on you. Guess what would happen if you ran around with millionaires?

8. Think Big.
You’ll never make it big if you think small. Think big, fresh, pioneering, inventive, progress, innovative, life changing ideas. Think of ideas and concepts that will make a huge impact and marked improvement in the lives of other people. When you think selfish, you think small; when you think for the greater good, you think big! The size of your success is directly proportional to the bigness of your idea or project. The only limit to your success is your imagination!

9. Keep an enthusiastic, “can do” attitude.
A positive, “can do” attitude powers success. Henry Ford says, “Whether you think you can or you can’t, you are right.” When you think and believe you can do it, it is easier to achieve your goal. Always be enthusiastic and keep your spirits high. Enthusiasm fuels your drive and gives wings to your ambitions. When you are discouraged and feel kind of low from failure or disappointments, say to yourself, “If others can do it, why can’t I?” Yes, you can do it, too!

10. Manage your time.
Time is a commodity that is free to everyone, but cannot be bought. Someone once said that if time could be bought, the poor would make a good living selling it to the rich. The rich and successful need more time; the poor and unsuccessful waste it away doing nothing. Time is precious; time is like money. You should manage and budget it properly. Rich or poor, we all are given the same 24 hours in a day. How we use our 24 hours spells the difference between our success and failure. Manage your time wisely. Set priorities and deadlines, and schedule your way to the pinnacle of success.

11. Work at being a great success.
There is really no magic formula for success. And you cannot rely on fate or luck to bring you there, either. They say that luck happens when preparedness and opportunity on hand. There is no substitute for good old hard work and perseverance. They are still the best keys to success.

12. Keep learning.
Knowledge is power. What you know will get you all the good things you desire. Your mind is your personal bank from which to get ideas that empower you to sucess. Keep learning – make it a lifelong endeavor. Invest in yourself – buy good books and reading materials, attend seminars, exhibitions and conferences, and travel. Keep abreast of the news, current events and technologies of the times. Purchase computers and electronic instruments that will move you into the future. The more you learn, the more you earn, and the more power you will have to live and share a dynamic, successful and fulfilling life!
